Dove Season!!
Dove season has been here for about three weeks now. I went out just today with my grandpa and uncle. We had no luck though. They were just not flying on a count of the rain we had last night. My neighbor said they won't eat wet corn because it will just bloat their stomachs. Hmm. never knew that. Well i have already shot two this year anyway. Which is more than last year, and the year before, and the year before. haha. The one i shot wasnt even flying. It flew into the cherry tree in the yard after we had just got back from hunting. well it was a race to see who could get the gun loaded faster. And boom goes the dynamite it was me. it was a small one though. For those who do not know, the only thing you take from a dove is the breast. The average size is about 4 inches long and 3 inches wide. Therefore they do not make a very good meal unless you shoot a lot of them. Doves fly very fast too. They are one of the fastest birds in the state of Illinois. So that makes them even more of a challenge to take on. I just love hunting in general. Well if you have any questions please feel free to comment my posts..

Daniel the human tee
This is probably the funniest video on the internet right now. In it are my good friends Chad Buch and Daniel Mehring. Daniel is the dumbass on the ground sticking the tee and golfball in his crotch. Keep one thing in mind as you watch this over and over: this was all Daniel's idea. Oh and another thing. His original idea was to put it in his mouth. Yeah. All his idea again. If there is no sound i am sorry. it would have been funnier with sound but oh well. All it was is me narrating while they prepare the hit and after being struck we all laugh and you hear Daniel squealing in pain. Thats about it for this week cause i am going to bed. Long day tomorrow. Goodnight.

This is Cody
Hi my name is Cody William O'Hara. I graduated from Red Bud High School in 2009. Last year i attended the Marissa school branch of Wabash Valley College and earned a certificate in coal mining technology. Receiving my certificate led me to enroll in Southwestern Illinois College and pursue my Associates in Applied Science. I will hopefully receive an interview with the Prairie State Energy Campus mine, which is located across the road from the power plant. Currently I am employed at Red Bud Industries, and I can honestly say that I love my job. It has its ups and downs but it is something that keeps me busy and going. In my spare time I love to hunt. Since I was little it has been a big interest of mine. I wrote many papers about it when I was in high school. My blogs this semester are probably going to be about hunting and advice or tips that deal with hunting. Other than all that I am your typical nineteen year old guy. I love animals and have 3 dogs: 2 outside and 1 inside. The inside dog is an oversized chewbacca-lookalike yorkshire terrier. I say oversized because she weighs in at close to twenty five pounds. The other two dogs are a full blooded chocolate lab and plott hound. The plott hound is my baby girl. She was given to me as a birthday gift from my grandpa so we could go raccoon hunting with her during the winter. There is not much more to me so if you ever see me just ask if you want to know specifics. That is all for the week.
